last day in america 2005

On the last day of the year I would like to send a shout out to myself; the myself of everything. Through a wholesome breath, take refuge in just being. That is all.

kayaking the eno - taking a break

One Saturday on a quick decision we took a kayak trip upstream north of Pleasant Green. Loading up the boats our neighbor Esther yelled across the road that it was supposed to rain. We said that's OK but I had hoped she was mistaken. We paddled for a mile or so and reached a nice stretch of shallow water with a mild rapid we could not go through. So we got out of the boat and took a look around and took some pictures. As we headed back downstream the rain came. It was a good hard rain. All we could do was continue to paddle. It was very moving to be on the water in the rain. It was very peaceful, beautiful and fun.

Huge Tree Trunk

A warm winter day in the sun. I wandered near a drought stricken lake to see what i could discover. I found a huge tree trunk that had an opening to the inner earth. I peered in curious and a bit cautious of the unknown. I found a whole world inside. I could live there.

Sit : Put in the time

I had to travel to Norway last week. I expected to sit during this time. It did not happen.

It is a matter of practice. I need to put in the time.
